As cable manufacturer, the CiS Group, headquartered in Krefeld and with production sites in the Czech Republic, is a cable manufacturer not being an energy waste producer. Despite a state-to-the-art machinery, customized cable assemblies  are - to a large extent - manually produced. However, the Company has joined the WFF (World Forest Foundation) www.senat-der-wirtschaft.de  in its function as sustaining member.

CiS is supporting the „ Welt-Wald-Klima-Initiative des Senat der Wirtschaft" (World Forest Foundation) and realizes a reforesting in practice, according to highest ecological and social standards on an international level.

"Our prosperity as well as our high living standards can only be guaranteed by assuring an international, effecting and lasting climate protection and a functioning eco-social market economy. The U. N. climate conference in Durban has shown that the international policy has big problems to reach the level of goals already set. That's why it is inevitable to become self-active and to invest in the worldwide climate protection even now. Each company has to be self-conscious with respect to its responsibility and it should act in this sense!" explained Peter M. Wöllner, General Manager.
By means of concrete reforesting projects - close to nature, forest, restoration - this initiative contributes to the resolution of climate problems on a long term base as well as to the maintenance of a general wealth. It is an investment in an economic and ecological effective project providing new jobs on an international level.
Due to such kind of reforesting, the CiS Group is in a position to more and more act carbon-neutral in an effective manner and to obtain the corresponding certification.  CiS is already working on a CO2 Audit providing the base for active measures.
