Despite economic crisis and flood disaster in the Czech Republic the CiS Group continues to expand
The economic crisis in 2009 had been a break for many other industrial companies in the same manner as for the CiS Group. In 2010, however, it is clearly a trend of expansion noticeable.
Sales have significantly increased within the first seven months so that the successfully operating company can assume to reach the same level of business activities as in 2008. In order to permanently cope with the high demand of current and new customers, CiS increased their personnel by 150 direct workers. The production expansion in the new facility of Hejnice enables CiS to make the production and logistic processes more efficient towards the customers.
Even the flood disaster having afflicted CiS facilities in the tripoint Germany, Czech Republic and Poland in the beginning of August 2010, may not stop this kind of growth.
The catastrophy caused great damage to this region, but fortunately delays in delivery were insignificant. The production facilities were not directly affected. The delays were mostly based on the fact that many collegues and their families had suffered from damages on their belongings. Due to an immediate relief action organized by collegues, customers and suppliers of the CiS Group, one was able to quickly help and ease the fatal situation.
CiS represents a leading German cable manufacturer requiring high quality, promptness and reliability. The company developed an own production system (CPS = CiS Production System) which is based on the Toyota Production System (TPS). The complete supply chain has been optimized by an existing Supply Chain Management in order to guarantee customers' satisfaction and - in this context - the competitiveness as well as the successful development of the company in the market in the long term. With at present 550 employees and workers, the company is manufacturing systems and customized cable assemblies for applications in the field of medical science technology, renewable energies, machines and equipment construction, telecommunication, traffic and transport, as well as aeronautics and space at several production sites. The Company is headquartered in Krefeld.
