CiS Components Instruments Systems GmbH & Co.KG
Established in 1975, CiS Components Instruments Systems GmbH & Co. KG grew out of the consulting engineers' office previously established in Viersen, Germany, in 1972. Later, the Company developed into CiS ELECTRONIC GmbH. In 1997 CiS SYSTEMS s.r.o. had been founded as a production facility in the Czech Republic.
CiS ELECTRONIC specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of electro-mechanical components and system technology. In close cooperation with customers' development engineers optimum technical and commercially successful solutions are realized concerning customized cable assemblies.
Today CiS belongs to the most efficient partners to leading companies operating in the area of transmission and connector technology. CiS has concentrated on the most up-to-date designs with inherently high quality standards. Its production-integrated quality assurance system set up in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 guarantees the highest level of quality. CiS production facilites are registered under UL file number E-190175 and are subject to constant monitoring by Underwriters Laboratories USA (UL). Although all sales activities are focussed on the European Market, product, technology and know-how are determined by the global market.

1975
Foundation of the CIS COMPONENTS INSTRUMENTS SYSTEMS GmbH & Co. KG. Sales company for products from self-manufacturing and distribution products. Extension of the product range and the services. Creation of a cable assembly line for an important internationally working plug connector. Conclusion of distribution agreements with leading plug connectors.
1980
Opening of sales offices in Stuttgart and Munich. Increase of the product range, conclusion of further distribution contracts with leading cable connector manufacturers.
Foundation of CiS ELECTRONIC GmbH and other sister companies as independant subsidiaries of CiS GmbH & Co. KG. CiS ELECTRONIC is specialized in competent connection and intensifies its position in the Market by offering competent and helpful solutions within the electronic industry. 1987
Organization of a quality control system on highest level, UL-license for cable assemblies.
Milestones of the Company History
1990
Relocation of a ‘'Cable Assembly Service' of a well-known, international connector manufacturer on his behalf and account incl. the direct delivery to the final customer. The entire logistic of the order and delivery processing is performed via data network.
Realization of a production facility in the Czech Republic, primarily with respect to large volume production in manual solder technology. Acceptance of a further cable assembly of an international cable connector manufacturer with connection to his electronic EDP-system and direct delivery to his final customers.
1992
Relocation of semi- and fully automatic cable assemblying as well as automatic injection moulding equipment to the Czech Republic.
1993
Verselbständigung der CiS ELECTRONIC GmbH mit den Bereichen Verbindungstechnik, Kabelkonfektion und Systemtechnik. Verlegung des Firmensitzes nach Krefeld. Einführung eines QM- Systems nach EN ISO 9002:1994.
CiS ELECTRONIC GmbH became independent: Relocation of the division 'connector technology', 'customized cable assemblies' and 'system technology'.
1994Investment in a modern EDP-organisation, access of the branch offices to the host, optimization of the work-flow organization. Enlargement of the sales organization by means of additional sales staff in the field service. Preparing for certification according to ISO 9002:1994.

1997
Foundation of CiS SYSTEMS s.r.o. in Nové Mesto, Czech Republic. CiS SYSTEMS s.r.o. will operate as subsidiary of CiS ELECTRONIC at 100 % not only referring to the production of cable assemblies but also as distributor on the domestic market.
The property including administration, technical and storage buildings as well as the production hall having been acquired by CiS SYSTEMS s.r.o.
Building of a new warehouse and production hall in Nové Mesto. Integration of CiS SYSTEMS s.r.o. to the host system installed in Krefeld.
2000
CiS celebrates its 25nd Anniversary. Certification of the whole CiS-Group according to ISO 9002:1994. Acquisition of a further production property in Nové Mesto.
Creation of the Dept. for technical calculations, production planning and prototyping in Nové Mesto
2002
Implementation of ISO 9001:2000 for the whole CiS-Group.

2003
Relocation of the whole production from Krefeld to Czech Republic.
New building and inauguration of a further production facility in Nové Mesto, takeover of a plug production of a well-known cable connector manufacturer.
2005
Relocation of the whole stock from Krefeld to Czechie. Czech Republic becomes EU-Member, so that CiS-Czechie shall be able to deliver from Germany (ex Bautzen) without any customs' formalities.
CiS-Group celebrates its 30 years Anniversary. Modern ERP-software (ProAlpha) was introduced at CiS locations.
2007CiS-SYSTEMS s.r.o. celebrates its 10 years Anniversary with more than 500 workers and employees. Introduction of the CiS-Production-System (CPS) based on the actual standards of industry.

2009
First Master School 'Isergebirge'. In the Czech Republic, the first Master School, focussing on German content of teaching, is being founded by CiS, in close cooperation with the Technical University in Liberec and Knorr Bremse s.r.o., CZ-46362, Hejnice. This Project is professionally supported by the Industrial Chamber of Commerce, Dresden.
As a dual education system does not exist in the Czech Republic, we have made the best of it. With respect to the advanced training of the production staff, the first 'Master Pupils' have started their professional training in the 1rst Master School ISERGEBIRGE'. The content of teaching can be compared to 95 % with the one of the degree of 'Master of Industry' in Germany. The teaching content applying to 2 years, can be figured as follows:
300 hrs in the field of technology, 152 hrs in the field of organisation, 137 hrs in Personnel Management. The lessons will take place in the premises of CiS, Knorr Bremse and the Technical University. Each pupil may officially take an exam at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The school shall be named '1rst Master School 'ISERGEBIRGE'.
